This week in Fundamentals of Digital Media, we're creating text-based art. We are using websites that generate these images for you based on your input of a few different factors. These sites make this process very easy, simply upload the original image, choose the font size, image width, background color, and you have the choice on which characters you want used in the sequence and whether they are written in a particular sequence or randomly. Above is the original photo and the resulting image using text-image.com. I chose the sequence "pray for us" as that's what's written on the pendant in the photo. The other ASCII generator site glass giant.com refused to work for me so we're stuck with this one.
